Live from Beaverton, Nike announces its latest football collaboration in which the athletic apparel giant has designed a new away kit, or jersey, for football club Paris Saint-Germain. Having long manufactured PSG’s home and away kits since 1990, Nike switches to a v-neck silhouette as well as incorporating a blue and red color blocking scheme atop a white base. What’s more significant is its performance elements. Made with recycled polyester in continuing Nike’s commitment to reduce its environmental impact, this year’s kit is lighter, stronger and smarter. Weighing only 150 grams, it’s 23 percent lighter than previous Nike kits. It boasts a 20 percent stronger knit structure to significantly improve stretching. Using its proprietary Dri-FIT technology and strategically-placed ventilation zones, this kit aids in evaporating more sweat to keep players drier and cooler than they’ve ever been. Lastly, Nike will supply a Pro Combat base layer to offer greater comfort and impact protection. PSG will begin sporting the above stylish and purposeful uniforms next year, so be on the lookout for them to release at a sporting goods store near you very soon. A closer look can be seen here.
