The culture of skateboarding is quietly on the rise in India and Levi’s is looking to aid in encouraging its growth. With only one available park in its densely populated country that unfortunately requires riders to pay, Bangalore-based skate collective Holystoked thought it was time to build India’s first free skatepark. With the help of 2er – a building crew from Hannover – and a collection of 24 skaters from around the world, the idea has become a reality. Following an introduction piece to the monumental project seen here, Levi’s continues its documentary series with a second installment featured above. This time we’re getting a glimpse of the forces behind this project uniting to begin its construction stage. Still far from done, stay tuned for additional episodes.
