With each progressing season, Shayne Oliver continues to nurture the adventurous designs behind his Hood By Air brand as it transitions from a logo-driven T-shirt line to an avant-garde approach that merges hip-hop and high-fashion. Having recently teamed with Scion, Selfridges and #BeenTrill, Oliver permits us early access to his brand’s forthcoming 2014 spring/summer collection as featured above. What we can see is a collection that appeals to the audacious, challenging couture fashion to recognize streetwear as one of the more influential groups in deriving fashion trends. In a recent interview with Vogue, Oliver said of his 2014 collection, “It’s always the sense of Americana and how twisted and subversive our concepts are. Denim is very important to me.
