2014 Bentley Continental GT3

Bentley has officially unveiled the 2014 Continental GT3, the Crewe-based firm’s latest race car. Based on the road-going Bentley GT V8, the Continental GT3 was developed in partnership with M-Sport. The engineers of the GT3 managed to remove roughly 2,200 pounds of weight while reconfiguring the car’s V8 engine to produce 600 horsepower and adding a new aerodynamic package to keep the car planted on the race track. The luxurious interior of the road-going model has been stripped out in favor of a lightweight, spartan interior with just the essentials. The car is set to go into action starting in 2014 with the FIA Blancpain series against the likes of the McLaren 12C GT3, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, and the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3.
