Just this April, Omega rolled out its tribute to the original 1957 Speedmaster at Baselworld 2013. This time, the watch is powered by a caliber 9300/9301 self-winding Co-Axial chronograph that is equipped with a silicon balance spring, ensuring immunity from magnetic fields. Another feature of mention, particularly for travelers, is the ability to set the movement’s timezone function without stopping the watch. As a nod to its ancestor, this latest version features straight lugs on the case, and is available in your choice of 18K red or yellow gold, a bicolor blend of the two, titanium, or classic stainless steel with dials appearing in black, silver white or blue PVD depending on the model. Adding to the customization is your choice of a matching bracelet or a leather strap.
