Swedish design studio Glimpt spent the autumn in 2012 in Peru working with and learning from local artisans. Drawing the from the cultural heritage of the South American countries, the assortment of “Prehistoric Aliens” coffee tables are reminiscent of retro spaceships with their clean geometric lines and patterns, as well as their peculiar shapes and colors. But don’t be fooled by the precise outlines of the tables. The three models, using a combination of glass and wood, were all handcrafted using traditional techniques including chiseling and lathing.
