Nike Unveils Manchester United's 2013-2014 Home Kit

FA Premier League Champions Manchester United will take to the pitch at Old Trafford next season in Nike‘s latest evolution of the Red Devils’ iconic home kit. Inspired by both the club’s storied history and Manchester’s industrial heritage, the new 2013-2014 kit sees the return of the black collar – a staple of United uniforms during their championship runs of the 1990s. A tonal grey and black gingham check – seen on last year’s home kit in bright red – now appears beneath the collar as a reference to the city’s 18th century cotton mills, which once crafted the checkered textile. Finally, additional stylistic details include a three-button placket with the addition of a single button at the rear of the tailored collar, gingham-adorned side vents at the hem, white shorts, and black socks with United’s customary bar scarf design. Look for the recycled polyester kits – constructed via recycled water bottles and complete with Dri-FIT technology, laser-cut ventilation, and bonded T-bar support – to appear throughout Manchester United’s 2013-2014 campaign.
