As a tribute to the simple DIY cameras of the past, Lomography has crafted the Konstruktor – a contemporary update to the old DIY kits and the world’s very first build-it-yourself 35mm SLR camera. Featuring a slew of plastic pieces and easy-to-follow instructions, the entire camera can be built in less than 20 minutes and measures 121 × 33 × 65mm while boasting a detachable 50mm f/10 lens, a shutter speed of 1/80s with multiple exposures, and a focus distance of 0.5m-∞. The simple design even includes a tripod thread and ‘N’ and ‘B’ modes for regular and long exposures. For an in-depth look at the design, be sure to head on over to Lomography’s dedicated microsite, which includes everything from building and shooting instructions to galleries of sample photography and more. The Konstruktor is now available online for just $35 USD.
