The Simpsons have a well-documented relationship with recording artists. Joining the list of bands that have appeared on the legendary TV show, Sigur Rós will be featured on the show’s two-part season finale starting May 19. The Icelandic post-rock band will appear as characters, and also contribute music for the upcoming episode, which will take place in their native Iceland — also the native land of Simpsons character Carl Carlson.
