As we have found out recently, some of the material on Daft Punk‘s Random Access Memories has been created before their work for TRON: Legacy. As FACT Mag points out, an early version of the album cut “Contact” featuring DJ Falcon. Speculations on whether this is real or fake have been ongoing but the good folks over at FACT, who already heard a playback of the album, confirm that it sounds “pretty damn similar.” It also features a sample from The Sherbs’ “We Ride Tonight.” Random Access Memories arrives May 21 via Columbia Records imprint Daft Life Limited.
