Set in a small town not so far from Dallas, 55DSL‘s “Italy, Texas” tells a story of unique and unconventional friendships on the blazing hot American plains. The film – shot by Irish-born filmmaker Aoife McArdle — is a celebration of creativity inspired by the new 55DSL collection, and follows last season’s CANADA-directed “Beyond Mountains, More Mountains.”

With the short film for Spring/Summer 2013 now complete, 55DSL is setting its sights on fall and searching for the next official behind-the-scenes photographer for its Fall/Winter 2013 campaign. Taking inspiration from this season’s “Italy, Texas” film, readers can upload images via social media using #Studio55 and @studio55dsl on Instagram, or @FIFTYFIVEDSL on Twitter. The best entries will be posted on 55DSL’s Facebook page and Twitter feed, with the winner going on not only to work on next season’s shoot in Italy, but also have his/her work featured in the next issue of 55DSL’s magazine.
