Traveling back in time with hopes of finding inspiration for its 2013 spring/summer sneaker range, PUMA aims to resurrect its iconic ‘70s progressive runner dubbed the SF77. Originally introduced during a decade that saw a severe boost in interest for the recreational sport of jogging, its flat and soft construction offered enough support for even the most elite runners, while the functional heel wrap and herringbone tread ensured advanced protection as well as gave the shoe its distinct styling. Still built with plenty of its original innovations, the SF77 provides an EVA midsole, nylon upper with premium suede overlays, split tongue, exposed foam padding, and of course PUMA’s signature gold foil branding. The “simple yet directional” SF77 Reissue will begin retailing at select PUMA stockists this spring.
