After a justifiable wait, the coveted Missoni for Converse 2013 Spring/Summer Auckland Racer that we previewed last year is finally coming up for grabs. Converse launches the shoe on Friday, March 29 in limited quantities at Missoni boutiques and select Converse First String retailers globally. This latest joint effort with Missoni is a premium Converse First String limited-edition collaboration featuring the vintage ’70s Auckland Racer running shoe in two new fabric updates for spring. Both multicolor and greyscale gradient-fade versions celebrate Missoni’s iconic multi-stitch fabric with a wool/viscose upper, premium canvas lining and white rubber soles. The multicolor version also uses a subtle woven lamé yarn in the fabric. Each pair will retail for $200 USD.
