Four Tet, also known as Kieran Hebden has teamed up with Ben and Tom Page of RocketNumberNine – the latest offering spans across eight poetic minutes and is entitled ”Roseland.” The pair last collaborated in 2010 on “Matthew And Toby,” an upbeat funk creation released on Hebden’s Text imprint. “Roseland” comes as an alluring delivery, jammed with fluttering percussion and syncopated instrumental layering. Whilst the consistent opaque drum pattern is another armament recognizable by Four Tet, the orchestral ambiance displays RocketNumberNine fluency as multi-instrumentalists. The result is an unyielding force of poignant energy, finding a meeting ground between a dynamic string quartet and a bohemian dance production. Click play and enlighten your senses.
