LUDWIG VAN, the deadstock vintage experts, and Gourmet recently teamed up on a capsule collection of footwear dubbed “Utility Project.” Utilizing original fabrics sourced by LUDWIG VAN, two of LUDWIG’s favorite Gourmets models, the Cinque and Quattro Skate have been given premium makeovers. Consisting of two halves, the first half, dubbed “DDR” utilizes original German “Raindrop Camouflage” dating back to the late 1960s. The second half, titled “Kilgore,” makes use of original U.S. Army twill from the early 1970s and deadstock Walls Outdoor Duck canvas. Both halves of the collection feature leather detailing, giving the collection a subtle utilitarian yet luxe vibe. Check out this quick video introduction to the collection and check out the range at Gourmet.
