“It’s so easy to ignore what’s right in front of us sometimes. I wanted to create a song and visual that addressed my everyday concerns of life as I know it in the world that we live in,” says Miguel of “Candles In The Sun.” Premiered over on sister site HYPEBEAST today was the visual translation by director Sarah McCoolghan to the soul-searching track. Going on a tangent from his typically sensual brand of R&B, Miguel solemnly speaks of the many questions humanity ask of ourselves each day. Touching on subjects like religion, ideologies, violence and government policies, the stark black and white video takes us to various New York City including the stricken areas at the receiving end of Hurricane Sandy. The track features on Miguel’s sophomore album, Kaleidoscope Dreams, which is available now in-store or online.
