Jay-Z's "Annie" Remake to Release Christmas Day 2014

Although it’s not necessarily such a hard knock life anymore for Shawn Carter, that hasn’t prevented the Brooklyn entrepreneur and artist from finding a way to relive his Annie days. Stepping into the role of producer, Jay-Z will be a part of the Annie movie remake starring Oscar-nominated child actress, Quvenzhané Wallis. Slated to release on Christmas Day 2014, the iconic movie’s remake will be directed by Will Gluck (Friends with Benefits and Easy A) and sees actress Wallis taking the lead role in place of the former candidate, Willow Smith — allow Willow’s parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith will co-produce alongside HOV.
