Much to the delight of Pharrell fans everywhere, we can all look forward to a new solo album coming from the ever-versatile creative. In a recent sit-down with Complex, Skateboard revealed that he will in fact finally be following up on his 2006 release of In My Mind. There’s just one thing, though—no rapping on the LP.

“I love rapping,” Williams says. “But—something’s coming, and I’m not rapping on it. No rapping. It’s focused. Like I told you, that’s the difference between 30 and 40. ’Cause I was 30, now I’m 40—and I’m not rapping.”

P urges that now being older, more mature and onto other things (namely marriage), he will be laying the bars aside for this go-around. Nonetheless, this of course still leaves us anxiously awaiting new solo Pharrell material, no matter if he’s rapping or not. After all, everyone loves a Pharrell hook, right?
