H&M Launches H&M Sport

Seeking to make a true impression on the burgeoning active sportswear niche, Swedish clothing giant H&M is set to release a new collection: H&M Sport. Beginning next year, H&M locations worldwide will promote performance-focused outerwear with dedicated areas in each store. Accordingly, an expansive range of windproof and water-repellent jackets, warm-up track pants, fleece jackets and much more has been designed with help from the Swedish Olympic team. This news comes following H&M’s recent announcement that they would outfit Swedish athletes for the 2014 Sochi Olympics, and is a development from last year’s activewear soft launch. Look for the H&M Sport collection to hit stores across the globe on January 2.
