CLIFF DWELLER recently paid homage to Burbank’s long aviation and film production heritage with its special capsule collection designed for shoemaker CYDWOQ, also based in Burbank. The capsule consists of a wide selection of boot and shoe styles that while channeling the industrial and fantastical elements reflective of the city’s history, the designs remain just as true to CYDWOQ’s nature-inspired ergonomy and design ethos. Examples include the Beartrap chukka shoe and boot that are distinguished by their trim unfinished ankle collar, sloping silhouette and large forward-reaching heel panel. Equally unorthodox are the HYDE and Runner models which particularly embody CYDWOQ’s minimalist inclinations with their extra-low cut and deep V-shaped collar.
