A First Look at John Mayer's Custom Mickey Mouse Rolex Daytona

Born out of his interest in vintage watches coupled with the allure of the almost mythological Rolex Oyster Date Mickey Mouse Dial, John Mayer offers a glimpse of his modern take on the classic collaboration between the two brands. Playing off the story and in keeping the same aesthetic, Mayer set out on a personal design project to make a modern version of said rare watch. Featured on the Rolex ref. 116520, the black PVD-coated Daytona maintains all functions, but features a unique painting of the iconic mouse that the dial of the chronograph watch. Although this concept never made it past the prototyping stage, the images stand to capture the imagination of collectors and fans alike.
