As widely reported, iconic designer Jil Sander is set to leave her namesake label for a historic third time. The news comes rather surprisingly after a successful Fall/Winter 2013 collection received praise in Milan at the start of the year, not to mention the German designer’s relatively brief tenure after returning in February 2012. Accordingly, the Fall/Winter 2014 label will be the last – or so it seems – for the designer, who originally founded the eponymous fashion house in 1968. No word is yet available as to who will succeed Sander, but the power transfer of this popular brand is sure to attract more coverage later on.
