TAG Heuer unveils its tribute to Jack Heuer with a new timepiece. Inspired by the Carrera presented for Heuer’s 80th birthday last year, the watch features a similar black/grey/red color scheme and two register layout. Sturdily built, the 45mm case of the Jack Heuer Carrera 1887 is made of black titanium carbide steel with a sandblasted steel and titanium cage. It borrows its asymmetrical shape from the Mikrogirder model, itself the winner of the watchmaking world’s coveted Aiguille d’Or award. The caseback is made of a smoked sapphire and covers the 39-jewel calibre 1887 movement.
