Saint Laurent presents a cohesive blend of offerings with its 2013 fall/winter collection, recently unveiled at Paris fashion week. The looks incorporate a cropped and slim silhouette, particularly with the many innovative pants options that is complemented with long free-flowing scarves, coats and cape-like ponchos. As we might expect of the season, the color choices are largely simple and muted, with plaid and other patterns leading the charge in accenting solid blacks or combining together to astound the eye.
It’s worth noticing that the collection makes some attempts to reach beyond its more laid-back grunge roots with items that suggest an adapted class such as the long black and snow leopard-patterned fur coats. One particular item that accomplishes in this regard is the black blazer with splashes of patterned gold on the body and cuffs, giving the otherwise down-to-earth urban outfit with a hint of luxury.
