Under his eponymous label, Alexander Wang presents his latest collection for 2013 fall. Dominated by monochromatic tones, a distinct mix of cropped trousers and jackets are juxtaposed against longer-cut pieces for Wang’s latest release, with a strong presence of quilting and leather throughout. Hits of Macau blue in addition to a small range of patterned button-downs and knitted pieces provide contrast to the sharp black lines by which the rest of the collection is characterized. Inspiration from workwear and technical design seem to come into play also, with a variety of fitted cargo pants and work coats alongside synthetic fabrics utilized across several jackets. Models swathed in oversized scarves and masked by protective hoods both contribute to the effectiveness of the lookbook.
