Now in its second year, Tokyo-based fashion label Gutswrench presents its 2013 spring/summer collection. Crafting its name from a Greco-Roman wrestling grip that requires the offense to keep a tight grip and simply “never let go,” the young designer brand applies this concept to strengthening its individual bonds with family, peers and even consumers. As a result, Gutswrench aims to curate a line that will remain relevant through the latest of trends with pieces that are both flexible as well as durable. In a range that seems to take cues from vintage garbs for a Caribbean gentleman, we’re offered some wardrobe staples in a slew of patterns and materials.
