Swedish watchmaker Halda has revealed its first modern watch design, the Halda Space Discovery watch. This unique watch consists of three parts: a Time Platform and two Time Modules. Each Time Module is a fully encapsulated watch designed to operate in a specific environment. The Mechanical Module, designed for use on Earth, is – as the name suggests – a mechanical watch with a New Old Stock automatic movement that operates at 36,000 beats per hour, making it more accurate than traditional movements which beat at 28,800 beats. The Space Module features a TECAMAX case for superlative durability and precision; inside the case is a digital movement developed in-house with an eye towards low power consumption and efficiency. Combined with the Time Platform watch bracelet, the two Time Modules make the Space Discovery watch a truly comprehensive timekeeping solution.
