An initial announcement for the MAX100 Project took place earlier this week, bringing to light a noble effort between retailer Social Status, Nike and illustrator and designer Matt Stevens. With previews out of the way, we’re happy to present to you the first look into the comprehensive pack of 10 Air Max 1s which will soon go on the auction block to benefit Charlotte, North Carolina-based charities. Each inspired by illustrations produced and published by Matt Stevens in his MAX100 book, there’s a mixture of both literally inspired and classic colorways to go around. Each pair is limited to only one example and will be paired with a signed wooden box set including artwork and MAX100 book. The auction-based availability of the shoes begin on August 15. Stay tuned for more unveilings into the project.
