“Madness” is the first official track to come off Muse’s new forthcoming album entitled The 2nd Law. Lead vocalist Matt Bellamy revealed in an interview with KROQ that the song came about following a fight with his actress girlfriend Kate Hudson stating, “I wrote that song having a fight with my girlfriend, nothing particularly over the top but just having one of those moments where she leaves you for the day to think about it.” The track itself has a slow buildup and is a cross-section of bass wobbles that we usually associate with dubstep and the soft rock Muse are so well-known for. Watch the lyric video above and The 2nd Law drops October 2.
