Having previously offered symposiums and seminars at its F.I.L. brick & mortar locations to highlight the “Exploration of Craft” as well as the functionality of GORE-TEX, when the Japanese label announced its F.I.L. Kyoto Natural Dyeing Process Demonstration and Workshop Recap, we knew that the knowledge and weight of the exhibit would be more than worth covering. With an aim of highlighting its natural dyeing techniques, the interactive session that took place at the F.I.L. Kyoto location featured demonstrations by an indigo-dye craftsman as well as offering patrons a chance to experience the process themselves. Alongside the dye procedure, an additional workshop focused on the process of silk-screen printing with natural dyes as well.
