Radio Silenz from Tivoli Audio is the world’s first active noise-canceling headphone to employ wood housings instead of plastic – utilizing either a black ash, walnut or cherry finish. Capable of reducing ambient noises by up to 85%, the headphones feature a “Defeat” button which temporarily switches off the noise cancellation and fades down the audio – allowing conversation or announcements to be heard without having to remove the audio device from the wearer’s ears. Operating on a single AAA battery, the lightweight (2.6 oz) Radio Silenz headhphones will be available in June.
