Kanye West linked up with film-maker Ruth Hogban to create the visual for “Lost in the World,” which comes off his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy LP. The video sees West being filmed for the most part from a birds-eye view with no eye contact with the camera, his face remaining concealed beneath a rhinestone-lined baseball cap. Not forgetting the usual element of models in oversized t-shirts dancing interpretively. Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, who features on the song, is missing from the visual but it doesn’t detract from the clips overall outcome. Like many of Kanye’s previous visuals, this can be viewed more as a short film with artistic and adorning features than an ordinary music video.
