Having initially launched at the famed West End shopping district of London’s Regent Street five years ago, COS recently debuted a new pop-up shop in Italy at Milan’s Salone del Mobile. Crane.tv
had the opportunity to speak to designers Karin Gustafsson and Martin Andersson about the brand’s commitment to balance, contrast and proportion, as well as their use of Scandinavian inspiration. In addition, set designer Gary Card touched on the creation of the Swedish label’s pop-up, which takes the form of a fragmented maze-like wooden cube. Ultimately the retail space and the clothing line both reflect a subtle yet unique take on a classic form.
