Japanese fashion optics brand EFFECTOR Eyewear are already making a strong 2012 showing with a number of high-profile label collaborations. The first is with high street label UNDERCOVER. This partnership contains two handmade pieces – the “Gloria” in a classic black acetate, and the “Kimberly” in a dark navy acetate – both designed under the watchful eyes of Jun Takahashi. While the initial release of these two retro-inspired sunglasses may be in limited quantities, EFFECTOR expects this partnership to continue as a staple line for both brands. Both pieces will retail for ￥29,400 JPY (approximately $350 USD) from select UNDERCOVER and EFFECTOR stockists.
