Since the early 1970s, Kenzo Takeda’s private label has been a longstanding mainstay on the Paris runways. For the label’s 2012 season, designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have taken over its creative vision, and seek to reinvigorate the brand’s venerable traditions with a fresh, modern and fun outlook. Leon and Lim fully intend to remain faithful to the bold colors, unexpected textures and inherent worldliness of Kenzo‘s trademark style. But as you can see from this video, they are taking a more youthful and “cheeky” approach to its marketing vision. A number of personalities making an appearance in conjunction with this Barneys campaign include Kate Foley, Kyleigh Kuhn, Derek Blasberg, Olivia Kim, Jen Brill, Andre, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Mariko Munro and Carlos Quirarte.
