Charli XCX - Dancing In The Dark (Yours Truly session)

To say there were a lot of artists at SXSW in Austin, Texas this year would be an understatement. To say there were a lot of people with cameras trying to capture performances on film would be, too. Instead of joining the crowds to gather concert footage to put up, Yours Truly did what they do best: holding and documenting private live sessions with some of the most promising artists out there. In collaboration with MTV Hive, the renowned San Francisco-based film crew held a special ‘In My Room’ series in Austin during the action-packed week last month. Among the artists they brought in to showcase on camera was 19-year-old London native Charli XCX, whose dark indie-pop songs have been garnering her quite the buzz over the past few months. During the session, Charli performed a never-before-heard song, “Dancing In The Dark.” She’s preparing an EP for a May release through IAMSOUND, so perhaps we’ll hear this one on there.
