Twenty-year-old Mac Miller has seen no short of success over the past couple of years, and his future is looking just as bright. But the young hip-hop star’s aspirations go beyond his own career. In a “pay it forward” sort of notion, Miller is using his Billboard Top 200 chart-topping voice to bring forth a new talent to the eyes and ears of the world. The name is Dylan Reynolds, and he happens to be a longtime friend of Miller’s who also hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. But instead of spitting 16’s and dominating the rap charts, Reynolds plucks at his acoustic guitar and sings soulful tunes that fall more in line with the likes of John Mayer and Reynolds’ favorite artist, Jeff Buckley. To introduce Reynolds to the world, Miller and he teamed up with Bongo Boy for a short video interview followed by a performance of Reynold’s song “Happy Birthday.” Watch the video above and leave your thoughts on Miller’s new endeavor below.
