Ex-Hole guitarist claims Kurt Cobain was recording solo album

In a conversation with Fuse.tv writer William Goodman, former Hole guitarist Eric Erlandson revealed rather interesting information regarding the late and great Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. While talking about his new new book, Letters To Kurt, Erdlandson claimed that Cobain was working on solo material, which would have become his White Album.
“That’s really what he was going towards, a solo album but working with different people. I was really excited about some of the stuff he was working on. I got to see him play it in front of me. That’s why I was really sad [when he died]. I was like, ‘Oh man, not only are you cutting off a life, but a message to the world, a musical path is just left with … Bush and all this other stuff [laughs]. He was cut short. Who knows where the music would have gone.”
Eric Erlandson further states that the solo project included a cover song, but refused to go into detail. Letters To Kurt is likely to contain more information on this mysterious song.
