This past weekend ZES and RETNA of the renowned MSK graffiti crew ditched the spray can to join forces and open an exhibition titled “Excavated Revelations” at Known Gallery in Los Angeles. With each artist’s unique styles on full display, we’re offered a glimpse into their uncompromising range of brilliance outside the realm of street art. Known as one of the more daring members of the crew, ZES’s work had an abstract approach featuring streaks and patterns in a large spectrum of color choices, similar to the themes often seen in his graffiti productions. RETNA on the other hand, went completely outside the box utilizing electric current etching and wood engraving to build a complimenting collection of organic and textured art. Be on the lookout as additional work from the MSK crew will hit the streets in the near future.
