The Spring/Summer 2012 men’s Laurel Wreath collection from Fred Perry welcomes a new designer to the fold, Kenneth Mackenzie – founder and designer of the influential 6876 label. Given Fred Perry’s and Mackenzie’s anti-establishment credentials the partnership makes perfect sense. The collection blends Mackenzie’s acute attention to detail and preference for architectural silhouettes and construction with Fred Perry’s original urban streetwear aesthetic, re-imagining the core iconic Perry pieces; the Fred Perry shirt, the Harrington style jacket, v-neck sweater and cardigan, slim-fit shirting, and pencil-leg trousers.
