3.1 Phillip Lim designs have never shied away from a bold, yet youthful elegance. The label’s Black Guerrero Mesh Boot from the Spring 2012 collection is no exception. The Cambodian-American designer culled together the unique high-top mesh boot from the silhouette of a motorcycle boot, replete with a robust rubber sole, polished leather heel cup and raised cuff profile as expected, but the hook-and-loop closure and chainmail-esque textile mesh upper hail from a style that is Lim’s own. The boot is made in Italy, and can be acquired at online fashion boutique SSENSE, where it retails for $750 USD.
