Following his fifth season in the league which saw him win his third straight scoring title, first All-Star Game MVP and inaugural trip to the Finals, Kevin Durant looks to make his sixth season the most successful one yet. To do so however KD will need a strong supportive cast, a Lakers downfall, and an inventive shoe that’ll aid him along the way. “Championship drive takes an entire team,” says Durant. “The new KD V represents the roadmap I follow.” Offering a detailed explanation of the construction of the Nike Zoom KD V, Sole Collector was granted an exclusive interview with Leo Chang – a Nike Basketball Design Director and curator of all five signature Durant models. In this video interview Chang breaks down the initial starting points for the new model, the design and logo details, as well as why Durant’s newest shoe comes equipped with Air Max cushioning at the heel. The Nike Zoom KD V is now available on NIKEiD and launches this Saturday, December 8 in an OKC colorway.
