Time Pieces by Jason Goldwatch: Pharrell Williams and Karolina Kurkova in Brazil

Hopefully no one objects to a double dose of Pharrell Williams news. Director/photographer Jason Goldwatch has premiered his Time Pieces series, and to kick things off we get to see some behind-the-scene footage of Pharrell and Czech model Karolina Kurkova, while the two were in Rio for their Vogue photoshoot. The description for the video further details the series, going on to say:

“Time Pieces” are black and white, Super 8 mm, short films by director/photographer Jason Goldwatch that focus on his personal heroes and cultural icons.

Textured, intimate and shot silent, Goldwatch shoots and also edits the film himself by hand, setting the images to ironic sound beds.

In this, the first piece in the series, Goldwatch captures a moment in the lives of Renaissance man Pharrell and model Karolina Kurkova while they were on a photo shoot in beautiful Brazil.
