As the new year swiftly approaches, shoemakers will begin unleashing special mock-ups paying homage to the impending Chinese zodiac, the snake. Following a gold variation of its New Balance ML574 silhouette for the Year of the Dragon seen here, New Balance reworks the same model for the new year, however with a serpent theme. This four-piece collection features large snake-like textured leather panels, gold Chinese characters on the tongue and heel, multicolored laces, metal eyelets, and nylon accents. Available in green, red, black, and a gradient option combining the same aforementioned colors, the ML574 “Year of the Snake” Collection will begin retailing at select New Balance stockists very shortly.
