Taking the stage last night in Atlantic City, Kanye West kicked off a trio of year-end shows at the newly opened Revel Ovation Hall. Following the elaborate stage setups seen at Coachella in 2011 and throughout West’s Watch the Throne tour alongside Jay-Z, last night’s show in New Jersey saw ‘Ye take to a stage marked by a series of seven video screens reminiscent of those utilized for the debut of Cruel Summer at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Kicking off with “Cold” before segueing into G.O.O.D. Music cuts “Clique,” “Mercy” and “I Don’t Like,” West’s performance included solo tracks from each of his albums as well as the remix of Rihanna’s “Diamonds” and 2 Chainz‘s “Birthday Song.” Further adding to the surrealist imagery that graced the DONDA-designed seven-screen set, West donned both a “Kanyeti” mask and a diamond-encrusted mask from Maison Martin Margiela during the performance. ‘Ye is set to take the stage again at Revel tonight before concluding his three-night, year-end celebration in Atlantic City this Sunday, December 30.
