When Concepts launched their Blue Lobster Dunk Low‘s back in 2009, the shoes were received extremely well across the sneaker industry. Since that release, the longstanding Cambridge-based boutique has gone on to create a plethora of other powerful collaborations with the likes of New Balance, Clarks Originals and Sorel, to name a few.
Teased a few days ago, Concepts recently announced their “When Pigs Fly” Dunk Hi collaboration with Nike SB was slated to arrive on Black Friday 2012. Exclusively unveiled here today, the shoes arrive in a well executed interpretation of the ’80s coming-of-age flick Porky’s. The pair features a buttery soft pink suede upper that is paired with a light grey suede tongue and contrasting blue laces. Set atop a gum undersole, the shoes also feature a flying pig lace lock, a silver Swoosh, and are packaged in a “Shower Box.” The Concepts for Nike SB “When Pigs Fly” Dunk Hi’s are set to release on Black Friday, November 23 exclusively through Concepts in Cambridge at 6:00 a.m.
