The Black Keys have rescinded their copyright infringement lawsuits via a federal judge against Pizza Hut and Home Depot, having originally claimed misuse of their music in commercials. The band alleged the tracks “Lonely Boy” and “Gold on the Ceiling” were used improperly by Home Depot and Pizza Hut, respectively. Settlements with both companies have now been agreed through The Black Keys’ attorneys and the original lawsuits have been retracted.
Both songs appeared on the rock group’s seventh album, El Camino, which was released last year and has sold more than a million copies.
