Yes, indeed. Adele‘s sophomore album 21 has reached its next milestone by yielding 10 million sales so far according to Nielsen SoundScan. That means Diamond status. The LP was originally released on January 24, 2011 and contains globally successful singles “Rolling In The Deep” and “Someone Like You.” 21 marks the third LP to hit the 10 million sales mark this year, following Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory – originally released in October 2000 – and Usher’s Confessions, which was released in March 2004. It’s the 21st album to reach such distinction since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking data in 1991. Congrats Adele. Well-deserved.
