Sigur Rós – Varðeldur

After producing a visual for every one of their tracks from their recent album release Valtari, Sigur Rós have allowed their Mystery Film Experiment series to continue by offering up a second version of “Varðeldur.” Director Clare Langan weighs in with her interpretation of the track by demonstrating her adeptness with a high-speed camera. She describes the clip as exploring the “fragility of the human condition, frozen somewhere between life and death” with a woman being submerged underwater. “There is no clear distinction between dream and reality and the space that the film and the music create becomes a submersive world,” Langan explains.
