When in 1999, Alexis Taieb — also known as Tyrsa — discovered graffiti, he knew he had found his calling. His natural love for letters and the art of typography led him to Gobelins, from which he graduated in 2007, and a career as a freelancer with a focus on print and web design. With a portfolio of work for Parisian agencies like BETC Euro RSCG, Publicis, DDB and Sid Lee under his belt, the versatile French artist has branched out into full-fledged creative work for the likes of Carhartt, Ofive TV and fashion label Bleu de Paname, for which he designed the “Ici C’est Paname” T-shirt. Despite the range of his work however, the tie that binds all of his visuals remains as consistent and strong as his striking aesthetic — the simple goal of reinventing the letter without losing any of its meaning or beauty.
